We are studying magnetic properties of materials which
have low characteristic temperatures, such as heavy-electron magnetism,
heavy-electron superconductivity, and quadrupolar transitions, etc.
We have developed a high-sensitivity magnetometer that can be operated
at very low temperatures down to 30 mK and in high magnetic fields up
to 15 T.
